Results week 3 2019

ATHLETICS

Cambridge High School competed in the EL High Schools Sub District meeting on Saturday 2 February. The athletes did extremely well securing 24 gold medals, 22 silver medals and 12 bronze medals.

The following received gold medals in their respective events:

Boys u19:

Somila Faltein – 1500m, Tiny Majambe – 5000m, Qayiya Mtukushe – 400m & 800m. 

Boys u17:

Hlumelo Myoli – 800m, Uvile Ngxowa – 400m.

Boys u15:

Emmanuel Limani – Discus.  

Boys u14:

Bongani Cele – High jump, Afikile Hermanus – 200m & 400m, Linamadle Mtatase – 800m, Khanya Nkosana – 1500m.

Girls u19:

Asekho Njeza – Discus & Shot put.

Girls u17:

Linomtha Myoli – 100m, 200m & 400m, Kesande Rasmeni – Shot put & Discus, Teliya Renga – 800m.

Girls u15:

Angela Hammond – Discus, Annabel Yeboah – 200m.

Girls u14:

Oviweyo Mathafeni – Discus, Charity Mtwana – 800m.

CRICKET

Cambridge 1st XI vs. Hudson Park HS 1st XI (Declaration): Hudson 282/8 declared (Vuyisanani Mhletywa 3/66, Ronin Crafford 2/35), Cambridge 13/3. Match drawn.  

Cambridge 1st XI vs. Port Rex THS 1st XI (Algie Cup T20): Cambridge 202/6 (Sikho Gaushe 123no), Port Rex 28/10 (Sikho Gaushe 5/19, Cuma Apie 3/8). Cambridge won by 174 runs.

Cambridge Girls 1st XI vs. Grens Girls 1st XI (T20): Grens 43/9 (Tabile Ngcayi 2/2, Imbali Mbambo 2/4, Kungentando Siko 2/8), Cambridge 44/6 (Imbali Mbambo 15). Cambridge won by 4 wickets.  

Cambridge 2nd XI vs. Stirling HS 2nd XI (T20): Cambridge 116/8 (Lubabalo Nquenqu 28), Stirling 116/5 (Athi Runu 2/19). Match tied.

Cambridge u15A vs. Port Rex u15A (T20): Cambridge 205/1 (Jayden Horak 94no, Uzubenathi Kene 73no), Port Rex 8/10 (Unam Bolo 5/2, Siyavuya Makibeni 4/6). Cambridge won by 197 runs.
